DANIEL

RECONCILING
CHAPTERS 7 & 8
In chapter 8, the angel says that the second vision is after the first, meaning a rerun of the first, like the dreams of pharaoh when He sought interpretation.
In a comparison, the two chapters laid aside and coincidences, similarities suggest the following order:

  1. The Lion(Daniel 7), coinciding with the reign of the two horns of the ram(8).
    • These days, later likened to the days of the Median rule by the angle, though in captivity, are relatively safe for the people of God. He(Cyrus the Mede) allowed a return of a captivity to Jerusalem, and the setting of the stage for the coming of the messiah is begun. His era is that of witnessing, and founding of the fellowship. The Lion is also the prophetic heritage of Judah by the last blessings of Jacob.
