SEALS AND ANGELS

A seal is mark of belonging, an identity. Sometimes its a representation of somebody's right to use-and abuse. It can also be a lid, to prevent contamination or tampering - to preserve purity and sanctity. Our covenant with God has a seal, a spiritual one. The glory of God is a seal. So is each and every one of His words concerning a person. Angels can also be referred to as seals.

Cain was sealed after his punishment. He was bright enough to realize that Gods damnation would expose him to destruction, and at his request pleading God put a seal on him, so no man could kill him. This was a covenant of some level of protection even in his newly acquired animal-like status.
A seal will be used as a mark of a cut covenant, sometimes in our days, represented by a signature in written agreements. For the promise of God that He would never fatally flood as with the time of the ark again, the rainbow became the seal. Fire was the seal in the case of Abraham's covenant with God After he laid out the sacrifice. It assured Abrahams of Gods participation in the agreement. The use of fire would be of continued important for subsequent covenants. On grand occasions, God lit it up himself by letting it fall form the heavens. This was the case in the dedication of the temple by Solomon, in the contest of gods at mount Carmel with Elijah, among others.

Come the new covenant, and the seal too, an angel of the covenant too.  A new temple is the bodies of men, a new sacrifice-self, and fire from God to consume the sacrifice, as John promised of the coming messiah who would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. The fire now comes down in a grand scale too. Great quaking preceded the fire that first engulfed the disciples before the Spirit of God filling them. As the fire consumed them, their spirits were purified to accommodate a new strongman, the Holy Spirit. This is the seal of the new covenant. This was that said by John the baptist of one coming that would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. And the Spirit of God is referred to later as the guarantor of the saints inheritance also, the seal of the new covenant between God and His people. All the followers of Christ have even now, this seal in common, with the fire being a permanent display within the hearts of men-hence "do not quench the Spirit of God," and the story of the ten virgins.

The fire tests everything, consumes chaff and leave fine, pure gold. Its also testing the materials with which we are all being built up to a living house, a temple. The materials that can go through the fire remain. Its actually a good thing to pray for for one seeking a real baptism. Not always felt but there all the same.

The Spirit of God works hand in hand with fire. In the dedication of Solomon's temple, fire fell, then the presence of God. It prepares the way. No wonder one of the signs of the two witnesses of the last days is they call down fire to reign upon Kingdoms that rise against them(Revelation). This is consequently followed by an annihilation of the Kingdom of darkness, and the entrenchment of the messianic rule in the following age.

It is impossible to be full of darkness and also of the Holy Spirit. The Sons of light are lighted in their spirits. This is the lighting of the lamp that the savior spoke of in his parable. The light is placed on an open place to light up the whole house and therefore its visible even to men. This light is put forth by a fire that precedes the filling of the Spirit of God, to consume them as a yielded sacrifice constantly before God. Light identifies the sons of God, the sons of light and its the mark of belonging, a seal.

Darkness is a seal-for the sons of darkness. They are baptized into the works of darkness and therefore they emanate darkness and also as a mark of belonging. When the sons of light are not yet saved, they are still sealed, to avoid corruption. These were the target group of the disciples commission by their teacher. Its the essence of the idea of predestination. A lot of humanity is born already corrupted, also referred to as the generation of Cain, others chosen from the womb. It was this corruption that would not allow God to receive Cains sacrifice. The same thing is demonstrated by the friends of Job, who would later have to offer sacrifice to God through Job as God would no accept their sacrifice. Its why God can say "I chose you" or "I loved you first." He does whatsoever He wills. Gives power to some to become His sons so be thankful. Those chosen have their spiritual eyes open to see and receive the gospel. Others are blinded-"by the gods of this world." This Grace is a seal. It speaks to Angels and to men as to the authority watching over the souls of men. Another expression for grace is power. This is the anointing of God.

The world on the other hand is under the rule of the wicked. Also the judges, accusers of the brethren. This is only for this age, this season, which by the way is drawing to a close. This but meant for evil, tests the saints to a purification in preparation for the next season. The weapon of the wicked is the law, the word of God. It is a sword, you know, and being the judge above all, it is rather obvious that the accuser would use Gods own word, being the overall judge, to unfairly seek advantage above the sons of God. This is why legalism especially in a time of war, when the hedge is removed, for a little testing is discouraged for believers, because this seasoned accuser will never run out of manipulated laws to bind you with. Grace to be not just the son of God, but His righteousness in the new covenant is a better plea.

Angels are engineered to take orders. They are servants of God - to fulfill His counsel and the word of their master is their command. Call them the custodians of the law. In fact, its written that the Leviticus laws were give by the hand of the angels. When Israel received the law, God stepped back a pace and left His angel in charge. But not without a warning- beware of his presence, and be obedient to the law(Exodus 22). This is why it is not necessarily a good things to depend on prayers for "angelic" company. In fact, as one grows spiritually and the glory of God is increased in ones life, you will discover that you get away with less as time proceeds, and sometimes little mishaps(otherwise referred to as the little foxes have a way of opening floodgates backlash from the enemy.) The importance of Gods warning would later be seen as the punishments for the least of the laws would result in mass burials.

Dependence on works of law without the spirit results to a greater accusation by law. There are times, in the middle of spiritual warfare, when the best thing to do is find a distraction, which takes your mind off trying to fight off the devil. Fallen Angels take advantage of this efforts of the flesh. Praying to/for a release of "angelic protection" is not necessary. It comes, goes and adjusts with the seasons. God really does whatsoever He wills.

All humanity has Angels keeping charge of them-from the womb. Assigned as God wills its important to trust in his judgement. Even for the sons of darkness are fallen angels assigned to them, for the same reason. They just don't play fair. For this reason, yielding to the seal of grace is important for the sake of the angels. It gives the angels of light a basis for vouching for you even in shortfalls or unjust accusations by the devil, and its also the power of God unto salvation from all things.

The response of Angels to Gods word is important in spiritual war. They make the hoards of the army of God - not men (There are no men who are generals in the hordes of God and this title as ascribed to some is is misleading, and a mischievous lie). We prepare the horses and chariots(by the word of God) but the battle belongs to God. Any attempt to war by human strength will always result in a spiritual beating. Feels like yous spirit has been beaten to death sometimes. Its for this reason that its important to know and use the word of God, especially in declarations as angels respond only to the word of God.

Human effort, or the law without faith as a path to righteousness is rigorous. Faith without works is also dead. Righteousness requires the realignment of ALL the aspects of ones life to fit into the pattern of the house of God in heaven. This can only be done by believing that God indeed has become our righteousness, and also trying our best to bear fruits of righteousness. With the Spirit of God, this just flows out without much effort from the sons of God. Disobedience to this silent voice though, eventually leads to more gradual silencing of the same, and gradual loss of the grace to bring forth the required fruit. The effort needed in our salvation is therefore of obedience. This was the calling of Moses in a shadow, and at one occasion, Israel was holy before God. In our time, this is a daily yielding to the Spirit of God. The principle remains but the laws and sacrifices are revealed in the new temple.  I have surprisingly seen God intervene to protect the wicked too. The sons of God though, will be pleased to bring forth fruits of righteousness, regardless of the fact that the wicked seem to get away with wickedness.

True worship is done in spirit and truth(Phil 3:3). This is because our bodies are temples of worship, and at any given time, we are either giving glory to God, or not. The times when one feels a lack of breakthrough are the times to yield without Human effort. If you are not breaking through, fleshly displays of emotions will not help either. Any attempt to breakthrough with human effort results to a beating spiritually, because it is warring without the counsel of God, so be careful, even if some prophet really insists that you should actually be praying and fasting, which happens a lot at such times. It took me time to realize this pattern. Sometimes standing silently, and believing you are standing before God is all one needs to do in such seasons.
