A DROUGHT: THE SILENT HEAVENS

I had a night vision, in which there was a wide spread drought. People were starving, not because they did not have money to buy food, but of no access to the supply. But there was one place, a property development which had some canteen inside for the users. A few of them discovered the secret and came to live there. They could only buy from there. For they had money .... but it was the only place they could get food.

I was reminded of the starvation prophecied by Joel, when the chosen nation would starve, not because they could not afford money, but their supplies were cut off.

I was reminded me of the famine of Egypt, in which Joseph was appointed to save food so the nations would come to Egypt when the world famine hit the earth.

A famine also represents a taking away of God's word, his voice, which sustains life. But even as the heavens go silent, there is a special place in which there is supplication from God. Like the story of the widow who fed the Prophet Elijah her last meal in the midst of a drought. But God supplied her with bread and oil. And her household and the Prophet were sustained.

The heavens are silent even now, but not completely. There is a sustenance prepared to keep those elect few alive.
