In our sleep, we let go of worries, and is detachment with the physical, allowing interaction with the spiritual. when the two are concurrent, its called a vision. Vision is seeing in the spiritual while aware of the physical. All must be tested. there is the word test, the personality test, and the seasons test.
Progression into some of these places are like to the story of the passion that leads to a cross scene. It all started with betrayal with a kiss, a deceptive fellowship whose price was the thirty pieces of silver and which resulted in a beat down at the hand of the soldiers, and ended up with the crucifixion, but not before the parting and throwing lots with the vesture/garments of the crucified as a price.
Weird and even straight outrageous, most of which are, should be ignored. Ignore anything set in darkness, purposeless or seemingly not heading any where. Don't bother searching for interpretations of such vanities, and no need to impute on them any meaning beyond he sleep time. Eating, giving birth, running, or fearing for no particular reason are among'st some of these vain illusions and all fall to this category. They do not signify covenants or curses, as many impute to them. Once one is saved, they are no longer under bondage of curses. If something tries to choke the life out of you in your sleep, turn over the other side and have a good nights sleep. Fear is a major contributor to some of these attacks so try keeping it far. Another contributor, a major one is arising in vengeance or war when there is no power. That tends to expose one to such attacks. Sometimes all one needs is to relax. If possible, when anxiety starts knocking, get an entire season of a good quality hit series and watch it. Get busy and step back from throwing powerless punches as you wait for the right season of offence. The right season is the time of glory - oh...yes..The sudden joy and glory is for fighting. Its a sword, the power of God to make war. When you confront a situation during a dream, know that power is present to make war with the offending principality. Some times there is just enough power to escape from its imposition on your otherwise peaceful sleep. That is a victory in itself, no matter how "dangerous" it might have looked. Remember the angels of God are right there with you - even in bondage.
After all negative experiences, in dreams and in person even in life, rebuild the torn walls. There are the protective garments or the seals that are a covering to all. If it is fear, cast it out. Then rebuild by speaking to your self in positivity, the blessings and gifts of God covering you. This is actually the function of prayer - repairing garments worn out by so much vanity. The vanity strips away the glory of men. That's its purpose.
Godly dreams are different. There is no exertion of pressure. you are unlikely to wake up tired, which is always a sign of a spiritual beating. Sometimes dreams start in darkness but the power of God wins and transforms them to Godly ones, in light. Visions on the other hand are sudden. Like a flash opening of a window into a timeless boundary. God has a way of speaking simple instructions that are pregnant with a world of information. It could be a short while but as you sit down to write it, turns out to be a lengthy affair. Godly messages are also easy to forget. Note them down even if they do not make sense to you at the time. They also cannot fail the test of spirits. The instruction can be given once but you feel it twice or more. Or several things meaning more or less the same. If you sense the message is not personal, publish it and there are many ways to this.
INTERPRETING THE PARABLES
- Pay attention to first impressions on people, places, the surroundings.
- Pay attention to looks, if they be dark, or lighted. If there be mischief, or not.
- Pay attention to the knowledge that you sence inside you during the dream. Most are on point.
- Animals
Different principalities of the rulers of this age are represented by animals in the prophets, like in Daniel 7 and 8. The heritage of the sons of Jacob, some of which are alike to some of the representations of the powers of this age, for example the Lion for Judah, amongst His brethren.
Animals tend to manifest, especially if attacking, in times of war, and you would know the principality exuding the bondage from the offending beast.
The serpents, goats, bulls and dogs have been used to symbolize a particular kind of people who are in rebellion to God.
The sons of darkness are just that, in darkness. For this reason their dreams are set in darkness, the intensity deferring with the extent of the attack. In extreme cases, even opening the eyes within these dark places becomes a hard task.
These bad dreams have only one reason - vanity. The power of God disdains vanity, and more so if seemingly ungodly, filthy, even disgusting. This is the simple way of the powers of darkness turning the glory of God into shame. Dont bother seekink out the meanings of things like eating, seduction, aimless wanderings, e.t.c. These are just all characteristics of the wicked.

Familiar spirits
Jeremiah 8:17For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which [will] not [be] charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
Matthew 10:16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 23:33[Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mark 16:18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Luke 10:19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on SERPENTS and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Do you have a neighbor that wont miss a feature in your dreams, of a relative, for the extreme players, a dead relative? you do know its not really them, right? Familiar spirits are demons that deceive their unwilling participants into partaking in their mischief by use of familiar faces. Note Jobs accusations of his friends.
Job 7:14Thats because some of such are aware. Those who have given themselves to the wiles of such spirits. Authoritative spirits also appear to give direction. All such must pass the test of godliness. Consider Gods word, scripture, and principles, and the season.

Mischief
Mischevous spirits can be picked out even in the process of the dream:
- Through discerning eyes they have a hardened face.
- Mischief in the eye, in the gaze specifically.
- Unease in their presence,
- Surroundings - dark, filthy, regressive, worn out(including things like old schools, churches houses and old acquaintances)
